According to the U.S. life sciences news reported, deep-sea biologists in 1939 found a peculiar form of "tube eye fish ", it grows clear head and tubular eyes. As the eye was tubular, scientists believe that the fish had a relatively narrow vision. But the latest study found that the fish's eyesight is not subject to limitations.

Tube Eye fish's eye, this particular structure is very conducive to collect light, is very suitable in dark deep-sea environment. They use their own search for ultra-sensitive eyes and blurred outline of tubular prey. Scientists had thought that this structure is fixed upward eye gaze, however, usher in the front so that they will miss the prey which toward them because their mouth are small and pointed which is difficult to capture prey.

California's Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute's researcher, Bruce Robinson and Kim Reisenbichler had used Institute's cable underwater robot (ROVs) to research pipe fish eye life characteristics. Depths of 2000-2600 feet in the Gulf of California, they used underwater robot camera cable to capture tube eye fish life dynamic, with the exposure of bright light from underwater robots the fish eyes were release vivid green color eyes. Moreover, they found that its full of fluid around the eyes is a transparent head shell, this region is located in the top of the fish head. But even more interesting is that when it is caught from the deep-sea fishing nets, its head is not show in transparent, it may be struggling in the nets the head was injured.

Bruce Robinson and Kim Reisenbichler very fortunate to caught a Tube eye fish which still alive, its only a few inches long. On the other hand, their digestive system is very large, suggesting that they may eat a variety of small fish and jellyfish drifting. Scientists dissected found a jellyfish fragments at their stomach, therefore scientist believe their main source is small fish and jellyfish. Hence, it is the green pigment in the eyes to filter out the sunlight and helping it to detect the luminescent jellyfish in the sea, or located directly above the location of their prey head. When they find their prey, the management of fish eyes will rotate their eyes upward, and swam towards the prey into the predator state.

Early in 1939, was discovered and caused great interest in the study of scientists. After observing that the marine biologists, it is very good at concentrating with tubular eyes. While the fish face downward, but the eyes still look up. Tube Eye fish eyes fixed on one point only, located at the top of the head to form a "tunnel" vision.
